Josh Russell teaches graduate and undergraduate fiction and nonfiction
writing and craft classes. His novel Yellow Jack was chosen as one of
Barnes & Noble.com’s Best Books of the Year and shortlisted for the
Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Award. His short fiction has
appeared in more than three-dozen literary magazines, best-of
collections, and anthologies, including the Antioch Review, Epoch, New
Stories from the South, and French Quarter Fiction. His nonfiction,
pedagogy, and reviews have been published in the Times-Picayune, Red
Mountain Review, Exquisite Corpse, the New Orleans Review, and Rules of
Thumb. He is the recipient of the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference Shane
Stevens Fellowship in the Novel, and a National Endowment for the Arts
Literature Fellowship.
