English Department Lecturer Daniel Holmes won a two-week residency at the Hambidge Center in August 2019 to continue work on a historical novel set in the borderlands of southern Arizona and New Mexico in the 1880s.
The Hambidge Center provides a residency program that empowers talented individuals to explore, develop, and express their creative voices; residencies are awarded by juried panels to creative thinkers from across the US and around the world. Situated on 600 acres in the mountains of north Georgia, Hambidge is a sanctuary of time and space that inspires individuals working in a broad range of disciplines to create works of the highest caliber.
